This year’s Aftershock festival was hot, hot, hot, and we’re not just talking about the music. Artists and festivalgoers alike had to battle temperatures in the triple digits, but in the end the 2026 edition of the massive annual gathering delivered four earth-shattering days of heavy music.

A sold-out crowd of 180,000 fans attended Aftershock over its four days from October 1st through 4th, setting a new record for the fest at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California.

The headliners included Tool, Limp Bizkit, My Chemical Romance, and Pierce the Veil, who topped a bill that also featured The Offspring, A Day To Remember,  Sublime, Wu-Tang Clan, BABYMETAL, Danny Elfman, Public Enemy, and more. All told, more than 140 artists played during the four-day extravaganza.

Aftershock also helped set a new annual record for promoter Danny Wimmer Presents, whose 2026 festivals totaled nearly 1.1 million attendees across its various festivals, also including Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Bourbon & Beyond, and more.

Dates for the 2027 Aftershock festival are expected to be announced soon. See our photos from Aftershock 2026 in the gallery below.
