A Perfect Circle have surprise released a new song titled “Starless” ahead of their upcoming UK/European tour dates.
The single is just the band’s second new song since their most recent album, 2018’s Eat the Elephant. In 2024, A Perfect Circle released the track “Kindred” as part of the joint Sessanta E.P.P.P. with Puscifer and Primus.

Singer Maynard James Keenan stated, “Absolutely chuffed to debut this new track on stage in the UK. Of course I’m excited to release the recordings but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live.”
Guitarist Billy Howerdel added, “Some songs get kicked around and massaged for years. But once in a while, one takes shape quickly, as if it had been there all along.”
In addition to Keenan and Howerdel, “Starless” features Josh Freese on drums. Freese returned to A Perfect Circle in late 2023 after 12 years away, having previously been a member of the band from 1999 to 2004 and again from 2010 to 2011.
“Starless” is currently available as a 7″ single available here with an etching of A Perfect Circle’s iconic logo on the B-side and featuring a custom 7″ adapter. The vinyl comes in two colors: silver and black, and white with sea blue and black splatter.

The song follows A Perfect Circle hinting at new music last year where they discussed the possibility of an upcoming studio album.
