Beck has unveiled a new version of his latest single, “Ride Lonesome,” featuring Sierra Ferrell. Stream it below.
The expansive and high-plains drifting tune, replete with mournful pedal steel, shimmering acoustic and reverb to the horizon, is a natural fit for a duet with Ferrell’s twang and her traveling troubadour aesthetic. The song was originally released in April and garnered comparison to tunes on his 2014 Grammy-winning album Morning Phase.
Beck hits the road this fall for the “Ride Lonesome Tour,” stopping in Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn and more with support from Diana Silvers. Fans can get tickets here.
Beck’s most recent release was Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime, which came out in January, an album of rarities, deep cuts, and covers. His last studio album was 2019’s Hyperspace.
