Brad Pitt, an actor, takes his craft very seriously. So much so, that he rejects watching porn — not because of any moral objections to the medium, but because the acting is bad.
Discussing his acting philosophy in a new Esquire interview, Pitt first took aim at soccer stars, criticizing their acting abilities when “flopping” to exaggerate a foul. Pitt claims he has “a whole curriculum” on flopping and wants to teach Neymar. “It’s one of those things that’s accepted but that no one likes — like forties acting, when the female actors would swoon… Bad acting drives me crazy. It’s why I can’t watch porn,” he said.
Pitt declined to offer any more details beyond this comment, which is maybe for the best. The 62-year-old actor and producer did divulge a lot about his life in the new Esquire interview, confessing that he once was “suicidal” about “family stuff” (Angelina Jolie accused Pitt of abuse in 2022; Pitt denied the accusations via a representative). Pitt also revealed that after seven years of sobriety, he’s “off the wagon” again; though he feels he’s able to control his drinking to a much greater degree now.
