Voice actor Carey Means, whose credits include playing the voice of Frylock in Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force, revealed in a recent Facebook post that he and his wife Leah Levin Means are experiencing financial difficulties. “Homeless! Please help!!” the message reads. “Our rent went up, and we have to move. We have no money and no credit… Every little bit helps!” The post also includes details on their CashApp and PayPal accounts.
In 2022, Means experienced a heart-related health emergency, and the couple appears to have been struggling financially since then. There are at least two different GoFundMe fundraisers dedicated to helping the couple, one that began in 2025 and one started in February of this year. Neither has met its funding goal.

Via their official site, the Means are currently selling autographed prints and plushies of Aqua Teen characters, handmade by Leah. You can watch her working on them and showing off some completed samples in a video also posted to Facebook. Carey is also on Cameo.
Sadly, the Means’ situation is not a unique one: As Cartoon Brew chronicled in 2018, C. Martin Croker of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Aqua Teen Hunger Force died in debt at the age of 54. Additionally, Andy Merrill, the voice of Brak on Space Ghost: Coast-to-Coast, was working as an Amazon driver just two years ago (though he revealed later that year that he was working on a Brak comeback project, and has since done voice work for Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake and Kiff).
