Carly Rae Jepsen is back, y’all. After signaling a new era by wiping her Instagram account earlier this month, the pop star has announced a new album titled Day and Night, out September 18th. The first single, “Wires,” will be released this Friday, June 26th.
As the title suggests, Day and Night is a double album with 12 tracks on each side. A press release describes the project as capturing a “blurred, dreamlike sense of time where nights stretch into mornings and days dissolve into nights, creating a feeling of being suspended inside a moment.”
Day features organic, live instrumentation and ’70s-inspired psychedelic pop, while Night leans into synth-driven dance pop. Jepsen’s collaborators on the album include Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and Cole M.G.N. Pre-orders are ongoing.
Jepsen’s most recent album, The Loveliest Time, was released in 2023. The Rostam Batmanglij-produced project served as a thematic follow-up to her 2022 full-length, The Loneliest Time. In October 2025, Jepsen unveiled a 10th anniversary edition of her fan-favorite album, E•MO•TION, which contains six bonus tracks.
Day and Night will debut during Jepsen’s headlining performance at All Things Go NYC on Sunday, September 27th.
