Charley Crockett has finally set a new release date for Clovis, the album that disappeared from streaming services this spring. The country renegade announced on social media that the record will officially return to all DSPs on July 3rd through Atlantic Outpost, landing just ahead of Fourth of July weekend.

Clovis is Crockett’s 17th studio album since his 2015 debut, A Stolen Jewel, and his fourth full-length of original music in an impressive 16-month span. He first surprise-released it on April 28th through his own $10 Cowboy imprint, roughly three weeks after Age of the Ram capped his “Sagebrush Trilogy” for Island Records. The album was then pulled from streaming platforms on May 7th amid his departure from Island, and it has been MIA ever since.

Crockett framed the comeback in defiant terms. “Happy 4th of July week y’all. Sometimes you need to fight. Goliath vs Goliath,” he wrote on Instagram. “On this 250th birthday for America, I’m reminded that freedom is something you continue to fight for. A war that never ends. Today, we win one battle. Clovis is out 4th of July weekend on Atlantic Outpost. Let’s ride.”

“Just the other week, I finally got the rights to Clovis back,” Crockett elaborated on his Instagram Stories. “We got to work right away, found a team that believed in getting this record into people’s hands, and turned it around faster than I thought was possible.”

Co-produced by Crockett and his frequent collaborator, producer Shooter Jennings, the bulk of Clovis was written and recorded with Crockett’s band The Blue Drifters at the iconic Norman Petty Studios in Clovis, New Mexico. The national landmark is where Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, and Shooter’s father, Waylon Jennings, cut some of their biggest hits in the ’50s. Crockett and Jennings wrote a dozen of the album’s 14 tracks, with the instrumental title cut and a cover of Johnny Cash’s “Don’t Take Your Guns to Town” rounding out the project.

CD copies of Clovis, both signed and unsigned, are available to order now at ClovisOfficial.com. Crockett will spend the majority of 2026 on the road, with headline dates coast to coast through the summer and fall. Get tickets to all of his upcoming tour dates here.
