Les Claypool is set to do triple-duty on the “Claypool Gold Tour” featuring his bands Primus, the Claypool Lennon Delirium, and Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.
The 30-date outing kicks off this Wednesday, May 20th, in Reno, Nevada, and runs through a July 4th show in Napa, California, hitting such cities as Cleveland, Chicago, Boston, Austin, and Phoenix, among others, with tickets available here.

A press release announcing the tour promises a “mind-melting musical experience,” adding, “Each night, all the bands will share the stage simultaneously for a fluid show featuring wildly different setlists and unexpected collaborations.”
It’s likely that Claypool took inspiration from Maynard James Keenan’s “Sessanta Tour,” which saw Primus on a bill with MJK’s two bands Puscifer and A Perfect Circle, and also featured all three acts sharing the stage at various times throughout the set.
Primus is Claypool’s “main” band featuring longtime guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde and new drummer John “Hoffer” Hoffman. The Claypool Lennon Delirium is the singer-bassist’s project with Sean Ono Lennon, and the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade features a rotating cast of musicians that most recently included Claypool, Lennon, keyboardist Harry Waters, drummer Paulo Baldi, percussionist Mike Dillon, and saxophonist Skerik.
