Clutch have released the single “The Drifter Returns,” marking the veteran rock band’s first new song in four years.
The track finds frontman Neil Fallon and company delivering the powerhouse riff-heavy rock that they’ve been churning out for 35 years. The band performed the song at select shows on their European tour earlier this year.
As of now, few details have been revealed regarding Clutch’s follow-up to their 2022 album, Sunrise on Slaughter Beach, other than that the band is working with producer Gene “Machine” Freeman on what will be their 14th studio LP.
In the meantime, Clutch will embark on a fall US tour beginning October 16th in Charlotte, North Carolina, and wrapping up November 7th in Norfolk, Virginia. Pick up tickets here.
