WWE legend CM Punk paid tribute to Bo Lueders, guitarist of Harm’s Way and co-host of the podcast HardLore, this past weekend on Wrestlemania. Lueders sadly took his own life at just 38 years old earlier this month.
CM Punk wore a white jacket during his entrance emblazoned with Lueders’ name on the chest. The arm of the jacket also sported the names of fallen wrestling figures Jim Shank, Kerwin Silfies, Davey Coates, and Harley Race.
Lueders’ ashes were brought to the event by his partner Taylor as well as HardLore co-host / Twitching Tongues vocalist Colin Young. Punk spent time with the urn backstage, as did Danhausen and God’s Hate vocalist / fellow wrestler Brody King.
In an Instagram post by Colin and Taylor, they said, “Bo’s last ride… We took our guy all the way to Wrestlemania inside a sacred wrestling artifact. Thank you to the best in the world @CMPunk.” The urn has long been associated with legendary wrestler the Undertaker who often used a finisher called the Last Ride.
The Instagram gallery shows several pictures of the urn and company, including alongside the WWE Heavyweight Championship belt, in the arms of wrestlers, and on the stage at Wrestlemania before the show.
Bo Lueders’ name was also mentioned by the WWE announces as CM Punk made his way to the ring. That video can be seen below, as well.
