Death From Above 1979 have announced the 2026 “Private Lives Tour,” a 28-date run through North America and teased a new song.
The heavy, bass-and-drum indie rockers commence the fall tour October 1st in Sacramento at Ace of Spades. The tour hits cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, and Brooklyn, New York. They end the run at Thunderbird Music Hall in Pittsburgh on December 6th.

An artist ticket pre-sale begins Wednesday, May 20th at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time (use code 1979PRIVATELIVES or PRIVATELIVESTOUR on Spotify). A Live Nation pre-sale will launch on May 21st at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Fans can sign up for Live Nation’s free All Access membership to receive access. The general on-sale follows on Friday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
With the tour announcement on Instagram, Death From Above 1979 unveiled a clip of a new song, presumably called “Private Lives,” that embodies their aggressive rhythm and overdriven bass style.
The band’s last studio album was 2021’s Is For Lovers. In 2024, they released three reimagined versions of songs from their 2004 debut LP, You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine.
