Deezer says that AI songs account for 44% of daily uploads, even though it only makes up 1-3% of music humans consume.
Deezer, which claims to be the only streaming platform transparently tagging AI music, says that 75,000 AI songs are uploaded every day. That adds up to two million per month. AI slop is becoming a significant operating cost, and Deezer is far from the only platform burning resources to process spam.
The statement from Deezer emphasized that the company takes steps to demonetize AI songs, and encouraged other streamers to protect human artists and creations.
