Dinner Party — the collaborative neo-jazz supergroup of Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, Terrace Martin, and 9th Wonder — has announced its new album, Watchu Bringing?, due out August 7th via Empire. Ahead of the album, the quartert will share the lead single “If It Ain’t Broke (Love Wins)” on July 10th.

Since forming in 2020, the multi-pronged unit has continued to redraw the boundaries between soul, jazz, and hip-hop.  The band’s origin story was explained in a press release at the time as the intersection of authentic connection and musical camaraderie. “Dinner Party is years of friendship, shows, dinners, conversations, laughs and life experience, all converging into one moment,” the statement read. “Dinner Party is a metaphor — a group, a project, a spirit, an imprint of time… Dinner Party is invite only, but it’s for everyone.”

Watchu Bringing? is the fourth official project from the Dinner Party crew, following 2020’s self-titled release; the Grammy-nominated Dessert, which tastily reworked their debut; and 2023’s Enigmatic Society. The new album marks the next stage of Dinner Party’s evolution, as they continue creating through their restlessness.

“With Watchu Bringing?, Dinner Party continues a run defined by joy, community, and genre-defying collaboration — an invitation, as always, to pull up a chair,” the collective shared via a recent press release.

Kamasi Washington’s sister, artist Amani Washington, designed the album cover, as she has done for previous projects. Peep it below, as well as the full tracklist.
