Dolly Parton has publicly thanked Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their $2 million donation to her Imagination Library. The gift was part of the couple’s larger $26 million donation to 20 charities across the US ahead of their reported wedding celebration this weekend.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude,” Parton said in a video released Friday. Now, it’s evident that you two have made giving back a key part of your lives. So, hey— when you have your firstborn, can I have it? Because that is gonna be one special baby!”
“You know, the mission of the Dollywood Foundation is to dream more, care more, learn more, and be more, and thank you again for your very generous gift. And we’ll continue that mission even in bigger ways now with your money. So thank you, and know that I will always love you.”
Parton’s Imagination Library is a book-gifting program that mails free books to children from birth until they begin school at age five. Today, the program sends more than three million books each month directly to children’s homes and has distributed over 300 million free books since its launch.
