To what degree the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum will be a full LOTR cast reunion is unclear. However, with Ian McKellen confirming he’ll be back as Gandalf for director Andy Serkis’s addition to the Middle-earth canon, all his former co-stars are now getting the question about their involvement. In a new interview with the London Times, Elijah Wood played it somewhat coy, but did say, “There is a good chance. I’m not able to officially say anything until it’s announced, but I will say I’m thrilled with the prospect of another film.”

Wood also echoed a statement that McKellen had made about not wanting to see anyone else inhabit the role he’d previously defined across Peter Jackson’s three-film epic. “I certainly wouldn’t want anybody else to play Frodo either as long as I’m alive and able,” he told the Times. “It’s always a little nerve-racking when people talk about new movies for a world like Middle-earth. Everyone gets a little protective and hopes it retains its level of integrity, but this story is fun, thrilling. There is a genuine feeling of getting the band back together.”
