It’s election day here in America, and Eminem seems to have granted use of his music to Abdul El-Sayed for the US Senate candidate’s final get-out-the-vote message to Michigan. This comes just weeks after Em collaborated with one of El-Sayed’s most vocal critics, fellow Michigan native Kid Rock.
El-Sayed is running against ex-congressman Mike Rogers to succeed Gary Peters, who has held the seat since 2015. El-Sayed’s final video of the 2026 campaign (at least as of publication) includes Eminem’s 2010 comeback song, “Not Afraid,” fondly remembered for a banging beat as well as a newfound cheese to accompany his newfound sobriety. Over the last 16 years I have thought about “Fuck the world, feed it beans, it’s gassed up if it thinks it’s stopping me,” more than I would like to admit. Feed it beans. Matching Em, El-Sayed gets right to the bad puns, and in tandem with the lyrics, the ad boasts that he’s “doing this for MI.”
Eminem has long occupied a unique place on the dirtbag left: willing to take a knee during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, less willing to stop using the f-slur, “old friends” with Kid Rock, but personally supportive of El-Sayed. As for Kid Rock, he recently compared El-Sayed to the 9/11 hijackers. Despite both men courting controversy, their 2026 song together, “Heal My Faith,” had an unimpressive stay on the Billboard charts.
Fuck the Trump regime, feed it beans, and if you’d like, watch El-Sayed’s video below.
Michigan. It's time. It's up to us to show the country what's possible.
The world is watching.
