To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, Donald Trump will host The Great American State Fair on the National Mall this June and July. It’s being as a “once-in-a-generation celebration,” featuring carnival rides, a 110-foot ferris wheel, and other “activations” from all 56 US states and territories
But it’s the musical lineup that truly captures the spirit of the Trump era, featuring a collection of artists who feel stuck in a 1990s time capsule. Nowhere is this more poetic than the inclusion of Milli Vanilli, the pop act universally famous for one thing: being an absolute fraud. It’s also worth noting that it’s only one-half of Milli Vanilli (Rob Pilatus died in 1998).
The lineup also boasts luminaries such as Mar-A-Lago favorite Vanila Ice, Bret Michaels Flo Rida, Morris Day & The Time, C+C Music Factory, Martin McBride, The Commodores, and Martina McBride.
Update: Morris Day + The Time, Young MC, Martina McBride, and The Commodores all say they’re no longer playing the event.
Shockingly, Trump’s pal Kid Rock isn’t currently billed for these shows, but maybe he’s among the “many more” acts teased in the announcement below.
Taking place June 25th through July 10th on the National Mall, the Fair also promises other American-first programming including “MAHA Mondays.” Find more details and sign up for free admission at the official website.
