The first arrest related to Insane Clown Posse’s annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival took place before it even started. NBC affiliate KYTV has reported the arrest of a man who was suspected of planning to distribute a large amount of marijuana during the four-day event.
The Mid Missouri Drug Task Force had received information that 45-year-old Kevin Jones, appropriately nicknamed “Bluntman,” was planning to sell marijuana during the Gathering of the Juggalos. This tip was confirmed on the festival’s website, where a listing for Bluntman’s One Stop Shop said it had been supplying everything from “blunt wraps to bongs, papers, pipes and lighter fluid” for over 20 years.

Members of the task force said they stopped a pickup being driven by Jones for traffic violations on U.S. 54 in Osage Beach, Missouri on Monday, August 17th. During a search, they found approximately 128 pounds of marijuana in the towed camper and plastic containers of psilocybin mushrooms, as well as signs reading, “Weed 4 Sale” and “Flower For Sale.” The task force also recovered laminated signs with QR codes for digital payment methods.
Jones is currently being held in Camden County jail without bond on felony charges of drug trafficking and delivery of a controlled substance.
Gathering of the Juggalos kicks off today, August 19th, at Mother Nature’s Riverfront Retreat in Macks Creek, Missouri, and runs through August 22nd. This marks the festival’s first year at the location after taking place in Thornville, Ohio, for much of the past decade.
