Guns N’ Roses gave fans their money’s worth with a marathon 29-song set at the kickoff of their 2026 North American tour at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Thursday night, July 23rd.
The outing — featuring various support from Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Pierce the Veil, and The Barbarians of California — extends through a September 19th show in Atlanta.

GN’R kicked off the Raleigh show with “Welcome to the Jungle,” one of eight songs played from the band’s iconic debut album, Appetite for Destruction. Other tunes performed from the legendary LP include “Mr. Brownstone,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” and the set-closer “Paradise City.”
Axl Rose and company also performed a number of cover songs, including their own classic versions of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” and Wings’ “Live and Let Die,” as well as The Damned’s “New Rose,” Velvet Revolver’s “Slither,” and Jimmy Webb’s “Wichita Lineman.”
Additionally, GN’R rocked Black Sabbath’s “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne (including Ozzy’s image projected on the video screens), a day after the one-year anniversary of the metal icon’s passing.
The evening also happened to be Slash’s 61st birthday, and the guitarist was serenaded with “Happy Birthday” by the audience and the band.
Public Enemy opened the Raleigh show, playing a 10-song set including classics like “Shut ‘Em Down,” “911 Is a Joke,” “Bring the Noise,” and “Fight the Power.”
