Mexico City’s Hipnosis Festival has revealed its full 2026 lineup, with Future Islands, Kim Gordon, and Melvins among the biggest names heading to the Mexican capital.
The ninth edition of the psychedelic and alternative music festival will also feature The Lemon Twigs, Sunn O))), Jonathan Bree, Levitation Room, Wine Lips, YHWH Nailgun, Laboratorios Moreno, and Fontän. Connan Mockasin, who had previously been announced for the festival, rounds out the 12-act bill.
Future Islands arrive at Hipnosis as they celebrate their 20th anniversary, while Gordon continues a prolific solo run following her years as a co-founder of Sonic Youth. Melvins and Sunn O))) add a heavier, more experimental edge to a lineup spanning psych rock, noise, garage, and indie.
This year also brings a change of scenery. After taking place at Estadio Fray Nano in 2025, Hipnosis returns to a single-day format at Quarry Studios in Mexico City.
The festivities actually begin one night earlier: Mac DeMarco will play the festival’s “Road to Hipnosis” show on November 6th, with admission available as an add-on to Hipnosis tickets.
