Danish rockers Iceage have released their first new album in five years, the stellar For Love of Grace & the Hereafter. Stream it below or via Amazon Music or Qobuz, or get it on vinyl here.
Marking the follow-up to their excellent 2021 album Seek Shelter, the new LP was recorded last year at Silence Studio, the same remote house in rural Sweden where they recorded 2014’s Plowing into the Field of Love. More than a decade later, they looked to capture that same energy with a minimal setup and lyrics written just a few weeks before entering the studio to “prevent the overall picture from being too fragmented and to increase the sense of risk and urgency,” according to a press release.
During the run-up to its release, Iceage previewed For Love of Grace & the Hereafter with the singles “Star,” “Ember,” and “The Weak.” They will celebrate the album with a trio of London shows (get tickets here) over the next two days, along with two shows each at New York City’s Ukrainian National Home and LA’s Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever in August (get tickets here).
