Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age has announced a one-night-only benefit concert taking place at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on November 16th.
Billed as “Joshua Homme and Friends,” the show will benefit CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), a global organization dedicated to empowering communities in and beyond crisis, as well as the Sweet Stuff foundation, an organization that provides assistance to career musicians, recording engineers, and their families struggling with illness and disability.
The evening will feature a variety of performances, including appearances from Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, and Homme himself. Also set to appear are “Weird Al” Yankovic, Justin Willman, Norah Jones, Beck, St. Vincent, The Kills, Chad Smith, Andrew Watt, alongside comedy from Bill Burr, Sarah Silverman, Dean Delray, Dan Soder, and tennis great John McEnroe. The show will also feature an appearance from Jack Black, who will present a special award during the evening.
Tickets for Homme’s benefit show at The Wiltern will first be available via a pre-sale running on Wednesday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster; fans can use the code SWEET to gain access to the pre-sale. Tickets go on sale for the general public on Friday, October 9th at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.
Queens of the Stone Age have just completed their “Take Cover” tour with Foo Fighters, and will close out their year with shows in Iceland, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. The band are also gearing up for the release of Perfecth, their ninth album, on October 30th; so far, they’ve revealed the new songs “Easy Street,” “Insignificant Other,” and “Where the Goth Girls At?”
