Kacey Musgraves has released a new Spanish-language version of “Uncertain, TX,” teaming up with Música Mexicana veterans Grupo Intocable to re-record the Middle of Nowhere track entirely in Spanish.
The collaboration further explores the musical borderlands that informed Musgraves’ latest album, which draws from her Texas roots while incorporating elements of Norteño, Tejano, Zydeco, bluegrass, and pop alongside traditional country music.

“Having a song with the legends of Grupo Intocable is such a thrill for me,” Musgraves said in a statement. “As a Texan, I am proud of the cultural melting pot that makes our state so great and this collaboration is such a fun example of that.”
“Uncertain, TX” originally appeared on Middle of Nowhere, which Musgraves released in May. Produced by Musgraves alongside longtime collaborators Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album chart.
Musgraves is currently in the midst of her “Middle of Nowhere Tour,” which recently included two sold-out nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden, and continues through October with upcoming stops in Austin, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more.
