Kneecap have tapped Killer Mike for a new remix of “Smugglers & Scholars”, a standout single from the trio’s recently-released third album, FENIAN.
The Run the Jewels MC is a solid pick for the revolutionary anthem, adding a bit of counterweight to the often chaotic stylings of Mo Chara and Móglaí Bap. And while Killer Mike exudes a certain humor and intensity that is unlike Kneecap, the temporary configuration maintain the same glowing commitment to social change through art and (as needed) violence. Kneecap is currently slated for a string of UK and European dates, featuring a mix of festival appearances and headlining shows, from July through August and then another short leg in November. Get your tickets here.
