Last year, we named Lambrini Girls our 2025 Rookie of the Year off the back of their killer live shows and exciting debut full-length, Who Let the Dogs Out. Now, we’re happy to report that they’re back, as the Brighton act announced a brand new album, No Refunds (out January 15th), and dropped the ferocious single “Bang Bang Bang.”

Previewed by the track “Cult of Celebrity” earlier this year, No Refunds will serve as the Lambrini Girls’ sophomore effort (a topic we recently went deep on). With the press release promising a “darker, even more direct and radical record,” the duo has certainly not lost any of their punk rock fury. The songs are set to tackle everything from fascism to artificial intelligence to the basement dwellers of the so-called ‘manosphere.’ Notably, the project also follows a difficult period for the band, with bassist Selin Macieira dealing with burnout and mental health issues after their quick rise and guitarist/vocalist Phoebe Lunny suffering a brain injury while on tour, resulting in a missed Coachella set and postponed shows.

As shown on “Bang Bang Bang,” however, none of the challenges Macieira or Lunny faced have gotten in the way of their musical or political message. The tune wastes no time getting going, coming out of the gate with an upbeat punk groove and a descending guitar riff. All the while, Lunny sounds angry as hell, shouting lyrics that, as she put it, tell the story of  “a man who has been revered as a Christ-like figure but also as the devil.”

Later this month, Lambrini Girls will embark on a US tour, supporting riot grrrl legends Bikini Kill. Then, come March 2027, they’ll support the release of No Refunds with an extensive European tour.
