Metallica have announced a new run of North American tour dates, the latest extension of their “M72 World Tour.”
Kicking off May 8th in Vancouver, the trek also includes stadium shows in San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Fayetteville, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison, Cleveland, and Salt Lake City. Support for these shows will come from Limp Bizkit and Avatar.
Tickets for these newly announced dates will be available starting with Metallica’s Fan Club pre-sale beginning on Monday, September 21st at 10:00 a.m. local time. Pre-sales for Citi cardmembers and Verizon customers as part of its Verizon Shine loyalty program will follow beginning September 22nd at 10:00 a.m. The public ticket on-sale is set for Friday, September 25th at 10am local time via Ticketmaster.
The 2027 “M72” dates will mark Metallica’s first chance to hit the road following their massive “Life Burns Faster” residency at Las Vegas Sphere, which runs from October 2026 to March 2027. Tickets for the residency are available here.
The “M72 World Tour” kicked off way back in 2023, and seemingly wrapped up this past summer, but it turns out its not over yet. Unlike many of the previous dates that included “No Repeat Weekends” over two nights in a single city, the 2027 dates feature single shows in each city.
In addition to the Sphere performances and the 2027 tour dates, Metallica are also playing two special shows in Uncasville, Connecticut, on November 19th and 21st of this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mohegan Sun Arena.
