Water is wet, the earth revolves around the sun, and Morrissey has cancelled two more concerts.
The musician was set to perform a show in Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on Friday, October 31st, as well as at Auditorio Telmex in Guadalajara on Tuesday, November 4th; the dates were scheduled to be the conclusion of Morrissey’s 2025 North American tour.
However, the concert’s promoter, OCESA, confirmed on Friday via an Instagram post that Morrissey’s performances in Mexico had been cancelled “due to the artist’s extreme exhaustion.” The following day, Morrissey’s official website posted the video for his 1992 song “I Know It’s Gonna Happen Someday,” captioning it with the song title and a handful of Mexican flag emojis.
The Mexico cancellations mark the latest in a string of scrapped dates on Morrissey’s 2025 tour. Earlier in the run, he canceled shows in Connecticut and Boston after an online threat was made against his life in Ottawa. He also called off a string of shows in Europe over the summer, also citing exhaustion.
Morrissey does have another leg of the tour coming later this week, however, with a South American run kicking off in Buenos Aires on Saturday, November 8th. He will also head back to the US in early January for a brief tour making up for some previously-cancelled shows from earlier this year. See a list of his schedule tour dates below and get tickets here, but if you do, consider yourself warned — there’s a possibility he could be very, very exhausted on the day of the show.
