Nicolas Cage comes in so many flavors. But whether you prefer Nic Cage with short hair and an encyclopedic knowledge of American history, or Nic Cage with long flowing hair and a deep emotional connection to a stuffed bunny rabbit, you’re in luck: The movies National Treasure and Con Air are both getting re-released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray SteelBook. You don’t have to pick between them!
Lest you forgot what happens in the cinematic masterpieces, here are the official synopses, courtesy of Disney:
Con Air: Former US Army Ranger Cameron Poe (Cage) has just been paroled for manslaughter, but must stop a group of violent and deadly criminals from escaping the country after they seize control of the prison transport plane he is on.
National Treasure: Benjamin Franklin Gates (Cage), in hot pursuit of a legendary treasure, must steal one of America’s most sacred and guarded documents — the Declaration of Independence — or let it, and a key clue to the mystery, fall into dangerous hands.
Both films have received a 4K, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision restoration for optimum sound and picture quality, and the National Treasure re-release will include an audio commentary with director John Turtletaub and actor Justin Bartha.
Pre-order Con Air and National Treasure now via Amazon. Both Steelbooks will be released on November 10th, 2026. For more, revisit our review of Cage’s latest project: His first TV series, Spider-Noir.
