Oscars 2026 Winners List: One Battle After Another Triumphs With Best Picture

The 2026 Oscars featured several dramatic wins, as Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another took Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, Best Casting, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Ryan Coogler’s Sinners wasn’t totally forgotten, however, with Michael B. Jordan taking home a very deserved Lead Actor win, Coogler winning for Original Screenplay, Ludwig Göransson winning for Original Score, and Autumn Durald Arkapaw making history as the first woman to win for CinematographyOverall, Warner Bros. was the biggest winner of the night, with the soon-to-be-acquired studio taking home 11 Oscars total.

Elsewhere, presumed favorite Jessie Buckley won the prize for Lead Actress in Hamnet, while Amy Madigan took home Supporting Actress for her wild work in WeaponsKPop Demon Hunters also won its expected categories, triumphing in Best Animated Feature and Original Song.

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein ended up doing very well in the below-the-line categories, recognized for Production Design, Costume Design, and Make-up and Hair. F1 meanwhile took the award for Most Best Sound, and Avatar: Fire and Ash was recognized for Visual Effects (which makes sense given its largely digital production). And Sentimental Value couldn’t get a win for Supporting Actor Stellan Skarsgård, but did win for International Feature Film.

The night’s big losers included winless Best Picture nominees Marty SupremeTrain Dreams, The Secret Agent, and Bugonia. There was also a rare tie in the Live-Action Short Film category, with The Singers and Two People Exchanging Saliva both receiving the prize.

In addition to handing out some awards, the ceremony featured live musical performances of “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters and Sinners’s “I Lied to You.” Plus, an emotional In Memorium segment paid special tribute to the losses of Rob Reiner, Diane Keaton, Robert Redford, and Catherine O’Hara.

The 98th Oscars, hosted by Conan O’Brien, took place on Sunday, March 15th at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, airing live at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT on ABC and streaming on Hulu. Check out the Consequence live blog, and see the full list of winners below.
