Ozzfest has confirmed that its 2027 return will take place at Birmingham, England’s Villa Park, the same venue where the “Back to the Beginning” concert featuring the final performances of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne was staged in 2025.
A post on the official Ozzfest instagram account displays an aerial shot of the venue, with the caption, “Ozzfest 2027 at @AstonVilla’s Villa Park – more info on everything coming soon!”
Birmingham is a fitting choice, considering it’s the hometown of the late Ozzy Osbourne and his Black Sabbath bandmates. As of now, no specific date has been revealed.
Earlier this year, Sharon and Jack Osbourne announced that the groundbreaking festival would return in 2027. At the time, they said it would take place in England first, and then “come to America.” So far, no venue has been announced for a US edition of the fest.
The last Ozzfest took place as a one-off event on December 31st, 2018, at the Forum in Los Angeles, with Ozzy headlining. Shortly after that show, he experienced a series of health setbacks that prevented him from completing his planned farewell tour.
Ozzfest launched as a traveling festival in 1996 as a heavy alternative to Lollapalooza, and helped boost the careers of many notable bands over the years, including System of a Down, Disturbed, Deftones, and more.
