Pantera will headline a two-day festival dubbed The Great NOLA Trendkill, featuring a who’s who of metal and sludge bands, including Down, Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, and more.
The two-day fest will take place November 20th and 21st at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, marking Pantera’s first performance in frontman Philip Anselmo’s hometown in 30 years. Other bands on the lineup include Power Trip, Crowbar, Eyehategod, Pig Destroyer, Rāde, and Herakleion.
A pre-sale is underway using the code NOLA via Ticketmaster, with a general on-sale set for Friday, September 11th, at 10 a.m. CT.
Anselmo will be doing double duty, fronting Pantera and Down, with the latter’s performance serving as the official record release show for the band’s recently announced upcoming album, Volume V.
“To be back in New Orleans with such a package of bands and events is a dream come true,” stated Anselmo. “Besides Pantera and Down, we have great NOLA and national bands playing, Housecore Records and Housecore Horror specialties, horror industry personalities, talented artists, and so much more. Please come down to my hometown and have a blast the entire weekend!”
Along with the festival comes the return of Anselmo’s Housecore Horror convention, featuring movie screenings, special appearances, and more, with separate ticketing to be announced.
The festival takes its name from Pantera’s 1996 album The Great Southern Trendkill, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. See the full lineup in the festival poster below.
