Phoebe Bridgers has announced Lost Weekend, her first album in six years. Arriving August 14th via Dead Oceans, pre-orders are available now.
Besides the cover art (below), not much else has been revealed about the effort. The acclaimed songwriter has taken a less-is-more approach with the rollout, which began with a series of pop-up shows across the country, culminating in a Madison Square Garden gig.

Bridgers previewed some of the new material during those concerts, including a country tune and many tracks which, as stated in our MSG review, offer “a fuller sound. Even with just the acoustic three-piece, the unreleased tracks had more dynamics — if not similar tempos — than the familiar ones. That first one had a late-’80s, early-’90s singer-songwriter cadence to it, and another had a booming, chanting outro.”
The new songs will be given more air when Bridgers heads out on her sold-out “The Lost Tour,” which spans 45 arena dates between September and December. The UK shows will feature support from former frontman of Black Country, New Road Isaac Wood. Find out how you can still get ticket by using our handy guide.
Lost Weekend serves as the followup to 2020’s career-catapulting Punisher. Bridgers also released The Record with her boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker in 2023. In anticipation of the new music, revisit our ranking of the 10 best Phoebe Bridgers songs.
