Poppy Announces New Album Empty Hands, Unveils Single “Bruised Sky”: Stream

Poppy has announced a new album, Empty Hands, arriving January 23rd via Sumerian Records.

She also offered up a new single, “Bruised Sky,” one of her heaviest and most metallic tracks to date. Produced and co-written by Jordan Fish (ex-Bring Me the Horizon), the nearly four-minute track sees Poppy dual wielding her death growl and high-register clean singing as she pits the full range of her voice against driving guitars and a metalcore treatment.

The song follows another single, “Unravel,” released back in October, and the collaborative effort “End of You” with Courtney LaPlante and Amy Lee that dropped in September. Poppy and Spotify also recently shared her cover of “Last Christmas” by Wham, filling out a productive stretch for the multi-faceted artist.

Meanwhile, Poppy will be supporting the new album with her “Constantly Nowhere Tour,” including legs in Australia, the UK, and Europe. Dates run from January through April, and you can get tickets here.
