Rosalía surprised a Mexican fan with €1,000 hidden inside a copy of her album LUX after learning that he hopes to open his own gym.
The fan, Oliver, had been selling homemade merchandise to help pay for his university studies when he met Rosalía during her current run in Mexico. He told the singer that his eventual goal was to open an inclusive gym where people could feel comfortable while pursuing their fitness goals.
Rosalía returned the following day and gave Oliver a copy of LUX containing €1,000 in cash, according to El País México. She also included a handwritten message wishing him luck in fulfilling his plans. Oliver reportedly intends to save the money and hopes to eventually call the business “Gym Lux” in honor of the singer.

The encounter comes as Rosalía continues a five-show run at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes as part of her “LUX Tour.” During her second concert on Monday, Mon Laferte appeared during the show’s recurring “confessional” segment where she reflected on being cheated on and betrayed in past relationships before declaring she was done talking about men. “I’m going to talk about myself,” she said.
Rosalía has three remaining Mexico City shows scheduled for August 26th, 28th, and 29th at Palacio de los Deportes.
