Scream 4 Getting New 4K Steelbook and VHS Releases

In 2011, director Wes Craven made what would become not just his final contribution to the Scream franchise, but his final film altogether. Scream 4 received mixed reviews upon its release, but has since been embraced for its often inventive kills and its mix of classic and new characters. Now, it’s receiving a 4K Steelbook release and a limited edition VHS version for those who love vintage media.

The 4K Steelbook includes tons of features, such as a previously recorded commentary with Craven and the cast, deleted scenes, and a gag reel. The limited “Be Kind, Rewind” version, available through Lionsgate, features a special edition VHS transfer of the film.

Scream 4 features a large ensemble cast including OG Scream survivors David Arquette, Neve Campbell, and Courteney Cox, alongside newcomers including Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Anthony Anderson, Alison Brie, and Adam Brody. In the movie, Sidney Prescott once again faces Ghostface, as a new iteration of the masked killer returns to his favorite pastime of slaughtering Woodsboro teenagers.
