Ariana Grande commenced “The Eternal Sunshine Tour” on Saturday night at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California, the first of a three-night stand at the venue, with a setlist that leaned on the tour’s namesake album punctuated by hits from her 13-year career.

The concert marked the start of Grande’s first headlining tour since 2019, and the 23-song set featured 11 tunes from her last studio album, 2024’s eternal sunshine. She came out with a quartet of songs, “yes, and?,” “positions,” “dandelion,” and “the boy is mine” before transitioning to the second part of the show. That part included “eternal sunshine,” “just like magic,” “thank you, next,” then “7 Rings.”
The set also featured “imperfect for you,” “One Last Time,” “twilight zone,” “Rain on Me,” a song released in 2020 with Lady Gaga whose vocals were back tracked at the concert, and “Dangerous Woman.”
She closed the show with “Into You,” “hate that i made you love me,” the single from her forthcoming album petal, followed by “we can’t be friends (wait for your love),” and finally, “supernatural.”
The Oakland show kicked off a 41-concert, residency-style tour in which Grande will do multiple nights at venues across 10 cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and London. The tour precedes the release of petals, her eighth studio album, which is scheduled to come out July 31st, and follows the 10th anniversary release of Dangerous Woman.
