This does impress us much: Shania Twain has teamed up with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme on a new song titled “Faded Blue Jeans,” the latest single off the country-pop superstar’s upcoming album, Little Miss Twain, arriving July 24th.
The two-and-a-half minute ditty features Twain on the verses, with Homme joining in on the bluesy chorus: “Faded blue jeans, big holes in the knees/ Had ’em ever since I was seventeen/ Rolling in the grass in ’em, trying to gеt your hands in ’em/ You were so good-looking (Oh), Mama said it was a sin.”

Per a press release, “A nostalgic, guitar-driven anthem with a rebellious rock-and-blues spirit, ‘Faded Blue Jeans’ was written solely by Twain and captures the intensity of first love and teenage defiance. Inspired by one of Twain’s own teenage relationships, the song reflects on the unwavering belief that young love could last forever. Driven by gritty production and infectious energy, it channels the rebellious rock and blues that shaped Twain’s youth while celebrating the freedom, confidence, and emotion of growing up.”
“Faded Blue Jeans” serves as the final preview of Little Miss Twain. The album can be pre-ordered via Amazon (with an exclusive bonus track) or via Twain’s official webstore, where you can pick a “Faded Blue Jeans” picture disc vinyl edition of the LP.
