Sheri Moon Zombie, wife of Rob Zombie and longtime star of his movies, has released her debut single and music video, “I Love My Robot.”
The song, which offers a critical look at AI technology, is set to be released physically as the A-side on a limited-edition single with Rob Zombie’s “Sir Lord Acid Wolfman” on the B-side. The 12″ split picture disc, set to arrive October 30th, is limited to just 600 copies worldwide and is available for pre-order here.
The track is a lo-fi punk rock tune, taking inspiration from Shonen Knife. “I Love My Robot” features a video directed by Rob Zombie, which leans in to the playful camp of the song, portraying Sheri Moon as a cheerleader providing raucous support for her beloved robot.
The B-side from Rob Zombie is pulled from his most recent album, The Great Satan, which we named one of the 20 best heavy music records of the year thus far.
In other news, Rob Zombie is currently preparing for the “Freaks on Parade” North American tour with co-headliner Marilyn Manson, featuring The HU and Orgy as support. The outing is set to kick off August 20th and run until September 20th, with tickets available here.
