Soccer Mommy has returned with “Rings of Saturn,” her first new song in two years. Produced by Elliott Kozel (who has worked with Rosalía, Björk, and SZA), it marks a new chapter for her following her last album in 2024. Carried by Sophie Allison’s powerfully understated vocals, the single finds her searching the night sky for some relief from feeling adrift.

“This song is about feeling lost and looking for hope from anywhere,” Allison explained, recalling how she would take her telescope outside during a difficult period to gaze into the cosmos. “There’s something about feeling small that can kind of take the weight off.”
Soccer Mommy recently opened for Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney, and is now gearing up to hit the road with longtime friend Snail Mail. The pair’s previously announced co-headlining “S&M Tour” kicks off September 30th in Charlotte and runs through late October. “Rings of Saturn” arrives with a visualizer by Suji Park, which you can watch below.
