System of a Down led the audience at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in an anti-Oasis chant during their show on Monday, July 13th.
The chant came during the song “Needles,” which guitarist-singer Daron Malakian introduced to the crowd by saying it was about a tapeworm.

Malakian said, “London, do you have an ass? I said, do you have an ass? We have a little song about a tapeworm. Just for fun today, I’m going to name the tapeworm ‘Oasis’” He then encouraged the audience to chant “pull Oasis out your ass.”
The chant is the latest chapter in the long-running feud between System of a Down and Oasis, stemming from comments Noel Gallagher made in 2001 around the release of the album Toxicity. Gallagher said to a radio station at the time, “I’m actually alive to hear the shittiest band of all time.”
For what it’s worth, Consequence named Toxicity one of the best albums of 2001, as well as one of the best metal albums of all time. We also listed System of a Down as one of the metal acts who deserve induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame following Iron Maiden’s induction this year.
The concert chant follows a post from last year, where Malakian edited a photo of himself at Wrigley Field in Chicago to read, “Fuck Oasis.”
SOAD are currently set to headline Sick New World in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 24th, with tickets available here. See the Instagram posts from Daron Malakian below.
