The Killers are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, Sam’s Town, with two vinyl remasters and a 7-inch box set. Pre-orders are ongoing.
The 2xLP 45-rpm Audiophile Edition and 33-rpm Red Smoke Vinyl were both cut from the analog masters by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound. The Audiophile Edition, which is limited to 4,000 copies, includes the bonus track “Peace of Mind” and comes in a gatefold jacket with a 12-page booklet.
Featuring a top-loading design, the Sam’s Town box set is limited to 2,000 copies and includes all four 7-inch singles from the era — “When You Were Young,” “Bones,” “Read My Mind,” and “For Reasons Unknown” — alongside their original B-sides. A bonus 7-inch comes with A-side “Peace of Mind” and “Read My Mind (Like Rebel Diamonds Mix)” on the B-side. The latter song is available on vinyl for the first time.
The remasters are set to ship on November 27th, with the box set following on January 29th, 2027. See the product artwork below.
The Killers’ most recent studio album, Pressure Machine, was released in 2021. However, Flowers released a new country album, THRASHER, in August and is wrapping up his supporting tour of North America and the UK/Ireland.
