The Linda Lindas performed their single “Burning Out” on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night. The appearance came as part of the build toward the release of their third album, Gotta Get Out, which arrives August 28th.
The band was introduced by Rosie O’Donnell, who is guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, as the late-night show’s titular host continues to take his usual summer off.

“Burning Out” is one of the Linda Lindas’ mellower alt-rock songs, a far cry from their brassy punk material. Think less Buzzcocks and more mid-period Liz Phair. Their performance on Kimmel was precise and measured, delivered with an almost machine-like perfection for the restrained song.
The Linda Lindas are currently preparing for a North American tour in support of Gotta Get Out, with support coming from The Rat Utopia Experiment, Vial, Deux Visages, Adan Diaz, and Grace Bowers on select dates. The tour kicks off September 16th and runs till November 5th. Get tickets here.
