For the past few months, I’ve been trying to stay off my phone outside of working hours. My search for a distraction-free alternative led me to pocket e-readers, and I landed on the Xteink X3, which has made it easy to squeeze in a few minutes of reading throughout the day. It’s usually $69, but you can grab it for $58.65 (15% off ) during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale.
The Xteink X3 has a magnetic design that attaches to the back of your phone, but personally, that defeats its purpose. Weighing just 2 ounces with a 3.7-inch E-ink display, it stays protected in a slim case, and I take it out of my pocket whenever I have a moment to read. The X3’s major caveat is that the screen isn’t frontlit, making nighttime reading a no-go without a separate light. For that, you’ll need the X4 Pro, which is currently $89.99, but offers a frontlit 4.3-inch display.
