Chappell Roan is an American singer-songwriter who first entered the music scene with her 2017 EP School Nights, released under Atlantic Records. However, after its lack of commercial success, she was dropped from the label. After releasing a string of singles produced by Dan Nigro from 2020 to 2023, she made her breakthrough with her debut studio album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, released through Island Records to critical acclaim. Her 2024 single “Good Luck, Babe!” became a massive hit, reaching number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 and charting in the top five globally. The song’s success propelled her album to number one in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand, while it peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200. Several other tracks, including “Hot to Go!” and “Pink Pony Club”, also gained significant chart success. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Roan was nominated for all four major categories and won Best New Artist.
