We are delighted to welcome Kaspar Berry Rapkin & Lucy Piper to Blues in the Bar at The Georgian Theatre, Stockton.

KASPAR & LUCY are two established musicians on the UK's Blues scene who have come together to play the music they love - an upbeat brand of Hill Country and Delta Blues which has its roots in Clarksdale, Mississippi - the location where the duo first met.

Dedicated to capturing the raw hypnotic energy you'd find in a traditional 'Juke Joint', both musicians are devoted to keeping this unique music alive, with an added fresh edge!

Kaspar plays regularly on the London Blues circuit and has made appearances at many of the leading UK's Blues Festivals, both solo and with his band 'The Swamp Dogs', Kaspar has been obsessed by the blues and vintage music since he was 12 - half a lifetime ago. With his raw guitar sound, he has been described as a 100 year old blues man in the body of a 25 year old.

Lucy is well known on the scene as a session drummer, and has played with the likes of Ben Waters, Mississippi Macdonald, and James Oliver as well as spending time in the USA working with musicians such as Watermelon Slim & Robert Kimbrough Sr.

DAVID AND THE DEVIL plays soul searching delta blues using Mule Resonator Guitars. When you close your eyes and just listen, his voice and guitar take you back to what it must have been like to listen to the likes of Robert Johnson and Charley Patton. Previously known as Charley Hicks and featuring in several bands over the years, David and the Devil uses everything he’s learned and loved from heavy metal to delta blues to lo-fi and throws it into one giant pot just to see what happens.
