The 2026 PEN America Literary Awards Ceremony returns to the historic Town Hall to honor and celebrate remarkable literature, along with the writers, translators, editors, and publishers who helped these stories come to life. We hope youll join us for a night of literary celebration and community. Featuring musical performances by and musical direction by Ulysses Owens Jr, three time Grammy Award winning drummer, the ceremony includes winner announcements, live music, and dramatic readings from selected works. Our awards are juried by panels of esteemed, award-winning authors, editors, translators, and critics. These authors are committed to recognizing their contemporaries, from promising debut writers to those who have already had a continuous and lasting impact on the literary landscape. Pick up tickets the night of the show. Customers must present the actual credit card used to place the order and a photo ID. Doors open to ticket holders for seating typically a half hour before showtime.

The theatre is wheelchair accessible. There is a special section available for wheelchairs in the Orchestra Left section behind Row S. Anyone requiring accessible seating is asked to purchase an available ticket for the event as normal. Call 212-840-2824 for ticket availability.
