A story of magic on Christmas Eve, and the journey of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince. Enjoy a burst of vibrant colours, captivating choreography, exquisite costumes and grand sets and props, set to the magical score composed by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky. This ballet captures the excitement of the Christmas festive season and the magic of Marius Petipa's classic ballet. Showcasing the breadth of talent, our performance boasts an array of national & international guest artists supported by talented dancers from the Australian National Youth Ballet. .

In addition to the parking listed, there is a Wilson carpark above Coles off Barkly St approx 50 metres down the road. There is also metered parking around Luna Park and the Palais Theatre (Cavell St).

Disabled Access: Disabled access to the theatre via a lift to the mezzanine floor of the foyer and a Hiro Stair Climber into the auditorium and up to the bar. The stair climber stops at the crossover level between the lounge and dress circle. Wheelchairs are allocated ticket numbers J6 or J7 or J46 or J47 with their companion next to them - if they are able to transfer from wheelchair to theatre seat. If not, the wheelchair is positioned in the crossover behind seats H1 or H2 or H 42 or H43. The theatre seats are not actually removable at this point in time. J row is also used for mobility impaired patrons.

- Late arrivals may be seated at management's discretion
- Photography/recording prohibited during performances

Babes-in-arms may be admitted to the performance on the proviso that no other patron is disturbed by the baby.
