China Crisis, formed in 1979 in Kirkby, near Liverpool, is a new wave and synth-pop duo led by Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon. Influenced by Brian Eno and Steely Dan, they achieved success in the 1980s with hits like Wishful Thinking and Black Man Ray. Their album Flaunt the Imperfection reached the UK Top 10.
