Acclaimed Steinway Artist Fanya Lin presents Metamorphosis, a recital exploring transformation and thematic variation across centuries of piano repertoire. The program begins with Brahms's intimate Chorale Prelude, transcribed by Busoni and flows seamlessly into Taiwanese composer Yi-Chih Lu's vivid Dark Sky, inspired by folk melody and stormy landscapes. Three early preludes by Szymanowski reveal rich harmonies and youthful intensity, followed by Busoni's monumental transcription of Bach's Chaconne. The evening culminates in Liszt's groundbreaking Sonata in B minor?a masterwork of unity, drama and introspection.
