Doors: 8PM / Show: 9PM / 21+Cometa a la deriva is a Peruvian indie rock trio fronted by Vanessa Angulo, formed alongside Gustavo Ampuero on drums and Mariano Saettone on bass. The band draws inspiration from nineties power trios, blending alternative indie rock with punk attitude to create an intense, nostalgic, and emotionally charged sound driven by raw vocals and honest lyrics. They released their debut album Hoy ya no espero nada ms de ti, presenting it at a sold-out show in Lima, Peru, and have since built a young, deeply engaged audience. The band has sold out shows across several cities in Peru and completed a successful tour in Colombia, while their singles Pedazos and Frances Ha have helped expand their international presence. Currently working on their second studio album and performing unreleased material live, Cometa a la deriva will be playing in Chicago for the first time, featuring Charlie Palm on bass and Henry Ptacek on drums for this special performance.
